The Guernsey Race for Life is on Saturday 26th May (11am)
The 2018 Guernsey Race for Life will include both a 5km & a 10km option and LeeMerrienRunning are providing training free training sessions and accompanying training schedules to help you prepare for the event(s).
Why not support the event and get either get into running whethere you are a first time runner or someone after a kick start with your training our sessions cater for all abilities. SIGN UP HERE to secure your place at our free sessions. Places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
Sessions will start on Saturday 14th April and take place ever Saturday morning 8am until approx 9.10am through until the event day. Weeks 1 and 2 are completely free to take part (14th & 21st April) and also participants will be provided with a free 6 week training plan to help you prepare over the 6 weeks... we have both 5km and 10km plans and even if you can't make the sessions after second week you will at least have the schedule and better idea of how to tackle the training.
The group sessions will cater for those with no current running experience through to those with more running experience who might simply be looking to introduce a fresh approach to their training. Sessions are all led by our experienced coaches and we will take your through a range of different components such as warm up exercises and drills to improve your mobility, conditioning as well as providing advice and guidance to help reduce your chances of picking up unwanted injuries. We aim to also graudually increase your endurance with our tried and tested approach as well advice and guidance to help keep you motivated.
