Our Running Groups
All of our running groups provide structured training sessions to suit all abilities from the complete beginner to the more experienced runners and other than our ladies only group we cater for both men and women. It does not matter if you are training for a mile to the marathon or just simply want to improve your fitness too our mixed group offer various options within the group sessions. We structure all our sessions to ensure that every one gets the most from the training, whatever their goals.
Group sessions are planned and organised by Great Britain & Guernsey International distance runner Lee Merrien but depending on what group you join will depend on who delivers your sessions. All our sessions follow a set format which contains a specific runners warmup, with exercises to enhance mobility, prevent injury and improve technique. All this is followed by an interval form of training with different options depending on your goals. Group sizes are also limited to ensure a healthy runner to coach ratio at sessions. Places are given on a first come first serve basis. You should check availability before signing up to one of our groups through our online shop.
Training is different every week and we also provide all our mixed group members with access to our 'members area' which contains a host of other information to help enhance your training at both our groups and outside of this too. Furthermore once a member you will also receive regular emails in advance of the weekly training with details of the forthcoming training specifics (so you know in advance what to expect) as well as details about other events and information all running related.

Generally training will take place at the Footes Lane Stadium athletics track for the Wednesday evening sessions (particularly during the winter as this provides us with a traffic free and floodlit area). Our Saturday morning group however takes place from a variety of locations around the island (members should check emails each week for details) this can involve hill work, offroad fartlek sessions amongst other things.
